New Zealand Home & Building, October-November 1985
Linen manufacturer Actil, has recently released placemats, to compliment their existing range of tablecloths and napkings, in coordinated fashion colourways. The colour of the napkin and tablecloth is highlighted on a contrasting coloured placemat by way of an appliqued tulip. The mats have thick wadding for extra heat resistance, are top-stitched around the edge for a firm finish and are made in the same crease-resistant, soil-release fabric as the Actil tablecloths and napkins. The co-ordinated colourways are cream on suede, suede on cream, wild rose on plum, plum on wild rose, rust on tigerlilly and tigerlilly on rust. These combinations have been carefully selected to enhance modern and traditional dinnersets. The linen can be bought separately and the range features square, rectangular, oval and circular tablecloths; square napkins and oblong placemats. The cloths and napkins are available in other fashion colours including chocolate, scarlet, green and white.
