1 The External Affairs Act, 1943, was passed on 11 Jun 1943. The Act made provision for the administration under the Minister of External Affairs of the external and foreign affairs of the Dominion, including relations with other countries, communications between the Government of New Zealand and other governments, and the representation of New Zealand in other countries and of other countries in the Dominion. The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) held this portfolio.
